The same is true in business. It is easier to complain about things that are out of our hands than do something about the things we can. Grumbling doesn’t really take much effort, but enacting change does. You can complain long and loud and make yourself heard but everything stays the same. However, you can quietly work on changing something that isn’t working, getting no glory, but knowing it is a better solution.
Decide which type you want to be. Do you want to make a statement about something that won’t change? Well, the weather will change, it is just the lack of control that won’t change. Or do you want to be the change that you wish to see in the world, according to Mahatma Gandhi?
Don’t be seen as the one with all the complaints and none of the solutions. Be the one who has the solutions to the problems other people haven’t recognized yet. And by the way, while you are working on the solutions, you won’t have time to complain about the weather.
